1943: CAMP HOLMES, BAGUIO to BALBOA, CANAL ZONE
REDIRECTED TO HAVANA, CUBA AND TO MASSACHUSETTS

From the Baguio Civilian Internee Camp using Japanese issued envelope (locally printed).

This envelope was exclusively for the internees at the 3 civilian camps, namely
Baguio, Los Banosand Santo Tomas. They were to be used on the exchange of mails
by the "TEAI MARU" and the "MV GRIPSHOLM" and were sold to the internees for 5 centavos.
All envelopes were post marked MANILA No. 1, September 25, 1943. 
The mails left September 26 for Mormugao where the exchange took place
on October 15,1943. The GRIPSHOLM arrived at New York on December 1, 1943.
