Liberating Forces Mail
American forces on the front lines may not have sufficient stamped envelopes or post cards available to them. Like the Japanese had done, they would write home to their loved ones on seized enemy Japanese GUNJI YUBIN (Military Mail) postcards.

Hello Folks: How's things? Have been in combat again for some time. Snipers were shooting at us this morning but can't hit us. I'm a Tommy gunner now. Great Stuff. Tell Jack & Bob hello.
