The first postal materials supplied by the Japanese
to captured POWs was the buff post card. This was a common type of card
in which there was very little communication allowed. These cards were
to be typewritten and underlined where required. This enabled the censors
easier reading than hand writing.
CAMP #2, DAVAO to TACOMA, WASHINGTON Verso of an identical card used at CAMP 1, CABANATUAN Camp No. 1 (Cabanatuan) was liberated on January 30, 1945. |
