Japanese Acceptance of the Geneva Convention
In late 1942, the Japanese accepted the terms of the Geneva Convention in regards to the treatment of POW's and Civilian Internees. In accepting these rules they had hand stamped a portion of their buff military POW cards with "See DES PRISONMERS DE GUERRE".
