Fieldpost Censor Markings
Two types of mail censorship existed during the Japanese Occupation of the Philippines: i} Civilian and; ii) Fieldpost (Military). Both of these types of censorships were performed by the Japanese Military Police.

1943 NOVEMBER 11: DANSALAN, LANAO (MINDANAO) to MANILA
Dansalan post office re-opened on September 10,1943.

One of two examples reported of this Dansalan Fieldpost censor mark.

English translation: "Censored by Military Police"

Common to Tarlac in red
both on military
and civilian mail.


1943 JANUARY 11: MONCADA, TARLAC to MANILA
Commercial mail written  from SAN FELIPE, SAN MANUEL, TARLAC
Cancelled at Moncada, Tarlac using M.O.B. (Money Order Business) postmark
as dispatch postmark.

Moncada Post Office re-opened on August 23, 1942.
