The British Royal  Navy in the Philippines
The Royal Navy had partaken in the Leyte invasion which was the beginning of the liberation for the Philippines on October 20,1944.

H.M.S. ARIADNE was a Mine Laying ship which was employed in Australia. When the invasion force was formed, she became the only British ship involved in these landings.

In January of 1945, in the Battle of Lingayen, another British ship was present, it was a 5 masted schooner which had no name and was classified as a top secret communications ship. Ships of the fleet would dispatch a crew to this ship to pick up and have their messages sent. Only the schooner's crew was allowed below deck.
