Discontinuance of Censorship
Censorship of official and civilian mail with the exception of outbound mail officially ended on June 30, 1943. However mail continued to be checked by postal authorities as evidenced by a postal inspector's penciled initial on the dispatch postmark.

Written from GALALANGIN (Tondo) properly franked with 5c Kalayaan issue.
Postal inspector's pencil initials on postmark.

Handstamped with "WIKANG PAMBANSA NATIN. ANG. LAGI NATIN
GAMITIN" slogan promoting the use of the Filipino language.


1944 SEPTEMBER 7: MANILA to MALOLOS, BULACAN
Using 5c  Provisional Juan dela Cruz postal envelope.
