On May 5, 1926, the department store H. E. Heacock Company placed an order with the Bureau of Posts stamps overprinted in black with "H / MANILA / P.I." The stamps were delivered to the company in June and were immediately put to use. The stamps remained in used until superceded with another overprint. |
