In 1925 the
Bureau of Posts made available for special order imperforate stamps of
the current series to any organization with a minimum order of at
least 10,000.00 pesos. Only one firm took advantage of this offer.
The Lambert
Sales Company placed an order for 10,108.00 pesos worth of imperforate
stamps printed on unwatermarked paper, spread over 15 values of the current
stamps in use. The United States Bureau of Engraving and Printing printed
the stamps and delivered in in June of 1925.
The Bureau
of Posts was also provided an additional sheet of 100 of all the values
ordered by the company. |
