1858 - 1863 FRENCH CAMPAIGN IN COCHINCHINA

Consisted of a French Expeditionary Force of 1300 soldiers and two convoys of 500 soldiers 
of Philippine origin from Manila and headed by Spanish officers.

The Spanish contingent was under the command of Colonel Oscariz, 
supported by two vessels,  the JORGE JUAN and the ELCANO.
