postmark 18.7.25. (July 25, 1943). 
Handstamped with purple censor mark 
even though censorship 
was discontinued throughout the 
Philippines on June 30, 1943.

1943, FEBRUARY 24

Properly censored commercial mail. Received on front, March 13.
All letters were required to be 
properly addressed. 

Censorship was immediately imposed 
on both civilian  and official mail 
and was lifted throughout the 
Philippines on June 30, 1943.

Wrapper addressed to the 
University of Santo Tomas
(then an internment camp).

MANILA CIRCULATING
1944, FEBRUARY 15

Same wrapper reused again. 
The sender paying an additional 
21 centavos for postage for  the BAHA 
(Flood Relief) Fund.

LAWANG,  JAVA to MANILA
1943 Commercial mail with 1st Definitive issue
of Japanese occupied Java. 
Censored at origin.
