UNLISTED PHILIPPINE POW CARD
Herewith designated as TYPE 3a. Format similar to Garrett Type 3 card but differ in the following:

1. Address side English text in upper and lower case characters. English text in Garrett Type 3 all in uppercase characters or in capital letters.

2. Message side is identical to that of Garrett Type 3 card except that this card with "3. Message (limited to 25 words)" instead of the "(50 words limit)" found on the Type 3 card.

The message side of this card is similar in form to cards issued for use by civilian internees except that the word "limited" on this card is spelled in all lower case characters while the card illustrated by Garrett (p233) with a capital "L" on the word "Limited" as  shown below.
