At about 1902, the "Directeur de Postes" of Madagascar made a request to the Universal Postal Union, Berne, Switzerland, copies of current stamps of U.P.U. members. |
Upon receipt, the stamps were mounted on large sheets and handstamped with a large 42 mm triple circle cachet in red reading "POSTES ET TELEGRAPHES * MADAGASCAR * COLLECTION DE BERNE". THE ONLY EXISTING
