At the onset both markings were initially placed under
Cagayan de Oro,
the capital of Oriental Misamis. However, the absence
of the Cagayan de Oro postmark
indicate that both letters did not pass through the Cagayan
de Oro post office but instead
were mailed on board vessels bound direct for Camiguin
Island.
