JAPANESE OCCUPATION TYPE I

"BUREAU OF POSTS  / PHILIPPINES" heading
in serifed characters on Buff card stock.

Printing Order control numbers "61386 - 4" on front bottom left corner and "61386 - 6" on reverse bottom left corner. "194__" Year date on the reverse.

Similar to the cards of 1941 except that the Printing Order Control Numbers on the front and reverse do not match. There is reason to believe that this and as with the other cards with two different Printing Order control numbers are Japanese Occupation period printed cards
Possibly in their haste to produce the cards they used recovered Commonwealth period printing plates not matched for each other.
