1944
MAY 15: SAN FERNANDO, LA UNION to MANILA
Franked with 5c
Rizal Heroes issue (#N32) and tied with M.O.B. postmark with MAY 15, 1944
date. The date and the year handstamped separately, the year clearly lower
than the date. MANILA REGISTRY SECTION / MAY 19 arrival on the side.
Clearly
indicated at the back is the letter origin posted at "S Fdo Union" which
again is not present on the above card. Both cards addressed to the same
party, Atty Francisco Ortega, a prominent Manila based lawyer at that time.
The top card received by Atty Ernesto Agbulos, most likely by Atty Ortega's
San Fernando representative and the bottom card by Atty Jesus Serrano,
his Manila representative. I am inclined to think that both letters related
to the same case.
Both undated
and dated M.O.B. postmarks not in Garrett's book. The date and year on
the dated cds handstamped separately with the year lower than the date. |
