Major General
Haryy Hill Bandholtz ((1864 - May, 11 1925) was born in Constantine, Michigan
and a graduate of the United States Military Academy. Before World War
I he was Chief of the American Constabulary in the Philippines between
1907-1913.
The Philippine
Constabulary was established on August 8, 1901, to assist the United States
military in combating the remaining Filipino revolutionaries then led by
General Emilio Aguinaldo. The Philippine revolution demise came with the
capture of Aguinaldo in 1901 and the surrender and execution by one of
its last remaining general Macario Sakay in 1906 (Wikipedia). |
