AUGUST 31: TACLOBAN, LEYTE to MANILA Official mail from the Superintendent of Schools franked with 5c x 3 and 16c Provisionals with handstamped large "K.P." plus 2c x 2 KP issue for 35c multiple rate. Captured and censored by U.S. Liberation Forces with "U.S. re-sealing tape on left side and purple handstamped censor notice. 
Both covers censored by the same Army examiner. It is presumed that the cover from Samar directed to Leyte for censorship. |
