NOVEMBER 5: BACACAY, ALBAY to CHICAGO
Dropped at
the TABACO, ALBAY train station.
In the mid
1920's the Bureau of Posts issued a directive that train conductors
continue to
accept mail from passengers and the letters to be dropped at the
next train
station where the BOP provided full postal facilities.
In 1927 both
the Tabaco and Pamplona train station post offices also provided
money order
and Postal Savings Bank services. Telegraph service was available at the
Tabaco and
for Pamplona the service was at the Naga post office.
