lot came out at eBay I was told that certain quarters have declared this
to be a fake cover since the seller has been reported in the past to be
selling questionable GB related materials. No other reason was given on
why they said this cover and the other Trans-Miss lots offered at the same
time were fakes. In late 2006 a group of Tran-Miss covers also came out
in eBay and the same parties also declared them to be fakes.
I will declare
this cover to be genuine in all respects. The markings are consistent with
the several known types of black boxed "R" registry marking and purple
Manila Registry Control, both I must stress are hand-held devices thus
its strike slightly differ from one another. The purple Manila double circle
cds is also consistent with the other examples I have compared it with.

Chiong and Ed Nocom. I also used b&w acetates of covers in the F. W.
Lange collection. The result: ALL FOUR COVERS ARE GENUINE IN

the position even with a failing right eye to state if a cover is good
