East travelling on the "Manila galleons" sailing to and from Acapulco,
New Spain,
sometimes as Maestre de Plata (Cargo Master), and establishing
a regular
mail carrying Spanish mail via Mexico, this the first North American
overland mail,
no Mexican markings but a 1781 LS from the same
correspondence
bore Acapulco h.s.'s. Ex-Charles Meroni.
