1994 Foundation Certificate signed by Robert  Odenweller stating "IT IS A GENUINE USAGE WITH A SMALL PORTION OF THE BACKFLAP AND PART OF THE PARIS BACKSTAMP MISSING".

1990 Silvano Sorani private certificate stating "IN  MY OPINION THE LETTER IS GENUINE UNDER EVERY RESPECT, ALL THE CANCELLATIONS ARE GENUINE AND THE STAMP IS IN PERFECT CONDITION, AND THEREFORE, I HAVE SIGNED IT".

When this cover was obtained by David Chiong in 1993 and prior to his securing the Philatelic Foundation certificate, those that seriously collected Spanish Philippines said that the cover is a fake since #1 was issued for internal use only. Since then, two more covers bearing the #1 used abroad have surfaced. Both covers were also deemed as GENUINE. Not shown is a Royal "Genuine" Certificate
