1941 CANLUBANG - MANILA RECOVERED MAIL
Received this beautiful cover from Gene Labiuk
with the following note:

Cover posted December 26 1941 at Canlubang, Laguna. Domestic letter rate 2 centavos and Domestic registration rate 16 centavos.

Held by the Japanese until April of 1943. Manila receiving post mark April 4, 1943 and a Phil. National Bank receiving stamp of April 5. Censored at San Pablo City with Garrett 1A6.

According to GARRETT, Canlubang never opened during the war.

I can only imagine that the person who sent this a "CONRAD WEINZHEIMER" did not spend the rest of the war in Canlubang. I am sure he was at one of the internment camps.
