Described as: USA Censored at departure from Almont, Mich dated July 27th, 1943 with letter to Missionary and his wife in the Philippines Islands where it was censored, see Japanese tape in English and Japan Chop on tape. Santo Tomas camp was administrated by Japanese Civil Authorities.

The folded brown paper with personal censor seal at right indicate that the cover was re-censored upon its arrival in Manila. Cover addressed to Santo Tomas Internment Camp but directed to Camp Holmes, Baguio, per underscored red manuscript numeral "3".

Re-censored POW covers are scarce. Majority were received in Manila by an assigned officer who then direct the letter to the proper POW camp after applying his personal seal to indicate accountability. (eBay US$ 430.00)
