U.S. 1943 INCOMING P.O.W. COVER
1943 Incoming P.O.W. Cover. Mailed from Fresno, CA on Sep 5 1943, to Private Ernest Myers, interned in the Philippines Islands, care of the Japanese Red Cross, Tokyo, interesting DAVAO camp h.s. in violet, U.S. and Japan censor tape, with enclosure.

The handstamped "DAVAO" is scarce to very scarce. The second one that I have seen, the first was ages ago. The "1" bid which I copied from the seller's eBay page could be an error - not unless improper bumping was done on this lot.

1943 Incoming P.O.W. Cover From U.S. Mailed from Salinas, CA on May 26, 1943, to Pvt. Eugene Rawson, formerly of the Philippine Islands, Tokyo Red Cross h.s. in violet, U.S. and Japan censor tape or h.s., "returned to sender" and "status changed to deceased" markings on reverse dated Nov 2 1945.

Manuscript "D" on front to signify "Dead" (not Davao) and the markings on verso (Sadly no image is available). This is more Japan POW related as the cover did not reach the Philippines.
